Uganda’s celebrated dance group, the Ghetto Kids, has expressed gratitude to Colombian music superstar Shakira ahead of their much-anticipated performance together at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in New York.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media on Friday, July 17, 2026, the talented dancers thanked the global icon for giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent on one of the world’s biggest stages.
“When stars lift others, the world shines brighter. Thank you @shakira for giving us the chance to share our joy, talent, and culture with the world,” the group’s management wrote.
The dancers also signed off the message with, “See you at the World Cup Final,” as excitement continues to build ahead of the showpiece event.
