Karangu Muraya reflects on 18-day India mission in support of Njeru Thiga as he returns home
After spending 18 days in India helping fellow musician Njeru Thiga navigate cancer medical treatment, Karangu Muraya is now preparing to return to Kenya.
Through his Facebook account, Karangu poured his heart out, thanking God for what he described as a season of faith, endurance, and visible divine intervention in Njeru Thiga’s health journey.
Walking the journey together
In an emotional reflection, Karangu revealed that his time in India went beyond moral support, describing days and nights spent walking hospital corridors with Njeru Thiga and standing by him during critical medical moments.

“I thank God for the 18 days that I have spent here in India serving God and my brother Njeru Thiga,” he wrote.
The gospel singer said he accompanied his ailing friend into operation theatres and witnessed moments that tested faith, patience, and strength.
“I have walked with him in the corridors of the hospital; I have spent days and nights with him. I have walked with him in the operation theatre. I have seen God’s faithfulness in the whole of his journey,” Karangu stated.
According to him, the experience reaffirmed his belief in God’s power to restore and sustain, even in unfamiliar lands far from home.
He described the journey as spiritually heavy but fulfilling, noting that seeing progress in Njeru Thiga’s condition gave meaning to every exhausting moment.
Gratitude and return home
As he prepares to fly back to Kenya, Karangu extended prayers to Njeru Thiga and his wife, Ann Njambi.

“My time to go back to Kenya has come. May Jehovah be with you and your wife, Ann Njambi,” he said, adding that the family remains in his prayers.
Karangu also thanked Kenyans and well-wishers for their unwavering support.
“Thank you all for your prayers and support,” he wrote, acknowledging companies and friends who made it possible for him to stay in India for the entire period.
“To all companies and friends who made it possible for me to be in India for all those days, may Jehovah enlarge your territories,” he added.
Looking ahead, Karangu revealed plans to mark his birthday back home by giving back. He invited supporters to join him in Kagioini on Sunday, where he hopes to share what he called “whatever small I have” with elderly parents from his village as he celebrates his birthday.

He concluded his message with words of love and gratitude, saying nawapenda wote, as he transitions from a season of hospital corridors to one of thanksgiving and community service back in Kenya.
