Frank Feswaj, the Kenyan lookalike of American streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, known online as iShowSpeed, has opened up about his expectations ahead of the streamer’s much-anticipated arrival in Kenya.

Speaking during an interview with Instagram influencer Mr Mombasa on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Feswaj said he confirmed that he resembles the streamer after starting to attract attention in Nairobi’s Central Business District due to his uncanny resemblance to him.

“My name is Frank Feswaj. I am Kenya’s iShowSpeed lookalike. I even have the number 7 jersey which Speed wears. I think I look like the streamer because when I walk in the CBD in Nairobi, everyone calls me iShowSpeed,” Frank said.

He said that he now struggles to walk freely in the CBD, explaining that members of the public constantly stop him, calling out “iShowSpeed” and even offering him gifts in admiration of his resemblance.

Feswaj added that he has received multiple gifts from fans, including t-shirts, and that he currently owns about ten such items, all presented to him by well-wishers. He emphasised that the growing attention has been overwhelming yet exciting, noting that it reflects the popularity of the American streamer in Kenya.

“Nowadays, I cannot even walk around the CBD without attracting attention. I create a lot of excitement, and some people even want to gift me things, like this t-shirt I am wearing; it was given to me by a fan. I now have about ten t-shirts that people have gifted me,” Franks said.

The Kenyan lookalike also claimed that he had been in contact with iShowSpeed’s management team to coordinate certain aspects of the streamer’s Kenya visit.

Feswaj revealed that, although the details are meant to remain confidential, he could confirm that iShowSpeed is expected to arrive in Kenya on Friday evening.

“Regarding whether I have talked to iShowSpeed, I did speak with his management team and I can confirm that we are in touch. Now that I am in contact with his team, I know it is supposed to be a secret, but I can reveal that the streamer will arrive here in Kenya on Friday evening. I am the Kenyan iShowSpeed,” he said.

Key tour

The American streamer officially kicked off his African tour in Angola on December 29, 2025, where he spent several days engaging with fans and immersing himself in local culture.

From Angola, he proceeded to South Africa, where he was similarly welcomed with an outpouring of love, excitement, and strong fan presence.

His third stop took him to Mozambique, where he arrived on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

In the country’s capital and along the coast, Speed was met by thousands of fans who accompanied him through the streets as he interacted with them live on stream, turning his visit into a moving street spectacle.

During his stay, he openly expressed admiration for Mozambique’s scenery, took part in cultural activities, met traditional dancers and acrobats, and joined them in performances that quickly went viral online.

After Mozambique, Speed made his way to Botswana, streaming live from the heart of the jungle and on safari, before arriving in Zimbabwe as his sixth destination, where he declared a one-day break before resuming his streaming schedule.
