Nameless and Wahu’s anniversary: How the couple spoilt themselves to mark 21 years in marriage

Singer David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless, and his wife Rosemary Wahu Kagwi celebrated 21 years of marriage with a special family getaway to Mombasa.
The couple marked the milestone on Friday, September 11, 2026, exactly 21 years after they exchanged their vows in a lakeside ceremony.
Nameless and Wahu flew to Mombasa with their three daughters, choosing the coastal city for a memorable anniversary celebration.
Special hotel welcome
The family checked into a five-star hotel in Mombasa where they received a special welcome from the hotel staff.
Dancers were on hand to receive the couple and their children, creating a lively atmosphere as they arrived at the hotel.
The celebrations continued in their room, where Nameless and Wahu joined the dancers for a brief dance session.
They later enjoyed a special anniversary cake prepared for them, with the hotel also putting up a “Happy Anniversary” message to mark their 21 years together.
Nameless shared moments from the getaway online, revealing that Mombasa remains one of the family’s favourite holiday destinations.
“We came to celebrate in our favourite vacation destination! Mombasa Raha!” he shared.
Reflecting on the journey
As he celebrated the milestone, Nameless looked back at the years he and Wahu have spent together.
“Today we celebrate 21 years since we said ‘I Do!’ by the lake, with family and friends all wishing us well,” he wrote.
The singer expressed gratitude for their journey and the memories they have created together.
“It’s been a ride and a half, and I can’t help but be grateful for the beautiful years and moments we have shared together!!” he added.
Nameless also celebrated their three daughters, who have become an important part of their journey as a family.
Still going strong
The musician ended his anniversary message with a sweet dedication to Wahu.
“3 beautiful gals later 😊, Happy anniversary babe! You still the one!” he wrote.
Nameless and Wahu first met while studying at the University of Nairobi. Nameless was pursuing architecture, while Wahu studied mathematics.
The two dated for nearly eight years before getting married on September 10, 2005, in an outdoor ceremony at the Lake Naivasha Country Club.
