iShowSpeed continues African tour with Mozambique visit as Kenya stop looms

American streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as iShowSpeed, has arrived in Mozambique, marking his third country on his highly anticipated 28-day, multi-country African tour dubbed Speed Does Africa.

Speed arrived in the southeastern African nation on Saturday, January 3, 2026, and was welcomed by troves of excited fans who walked him through various streets of the capital as they played games and interacted with him live on his stream.

In a video shared on his YouTube channels, he is seen walking along the beach together with his bodyguards as thousands of citizens and fans followed closely behind, chanting his name and turning the moment into a moving street spectacle.

The streamer, hours later, is seen marvelling at the country’s scenery, openly expressing how stunned he was by its beauty, noting that he was genuinely taken aback as he had not expected Mozambique to be that impressive.

“Man, Mozambique is so beautiful, bro. Chat, we’re lit, menh,” he said in awe.

The streamer, who is among the most followed creators on both Twitch and YouTube, did several fun and culturally immersive activities on his first day, including attempting to balance a pot on his head in the same manner many African women from the country do.

His attempt, however, did not go as planned, as he ended up struggling to maintain balance, prompting laughter, applause, and loud cheers from the women who were showing him how to do it and encouraging him to keep trying.

The streamer also met a local dance troupe which performed a traditional dance for him while clad in colourful traditional attire, leaving Speed visibly impressed and fascinated by the display.

At one point, the dancers, who are also acrobats, lifted Speed up in the air and invited him to join them on the dance floor. Speed did dance along with them and even broke into his signature Cristiano Ronaldo pose, sparking loud cheers and excitement from the surrounding crowd.

The Mozambique stop further adds momentum to iShowSpeed’s fast-paced African tour, which continues to attract massive crowds, viral moments, and cultural exchanges as he journeys across the continent.

Previous stops

The streamer started his African tour in Angola on December 29, 2025 and stayed there for some days before proceeding to South Africa, where he was similarly received with an outpouring of love.

The streamer is set to visit over 20 countries during the tour, with Kenya among the destinations.
