Streaming sensation Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, has announced plans to launch a donation campaign aimed at supporting local communities across Africa.

The announcement came on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from Namibia, the final country he visited on his 28-day multi-country African tour.

Speaking to his fans during a livestream, IShowSpeed expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received in every country he visited.

“I met so many genuine people during my African tour. Very wonderful people, and every country that I went to, it literally felt like everybody was giving me love, and I just felt genuinely loved,” he said.

He explained that the overwhelming support and hospitality he experienced inspired him to give back.

“Because of that, I’ve been thinking about giving back to the communities that have shown me this much love. I will be launching a donation campaign that will be supporting local organisations and people in some of the places I visited,” he added.

During his final message, which marked the official conclusion of his African tour, IShowSpeed addressed his fans directly.

He said that wherever he streamed and wherever his fans watched him, he wanted to ensure that the love and generosity he received were reciprocated.

“All over Africa, wherever I streamed, and wherever you who watched or thought of me personally, I thought this deserves some donation or some help,” he noted.

The streamer also emphasised that he took his time planning the initiative carefully.

He revealed that while he was willing to help needy African communities, he did not want to rush the initiative until he had gathered all the necessary information about the countries and the people.

“I wanted everyone who watched the stream. Even if you watched for a few minutes, I thank you all. And I have something to say; I want to say something very quickly. The reason why I waited is that I wanted to do this the right way so I could have all the information. Anyway, more information about that will come later,” he said, leaving fans eager for further details.

The African tour, which spanned over 28 days, saw IShowSpeed visit countries including Angola, South Africa, Mozambique, Eswatini, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, Benin, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and finally Namibia.

In each location, he engaged with fans through livestreams, street interactions, and cultural experiences, earning widespread acclaim for his genuine connections with local communities.
