Huddah urges Kenyans to buy land now or regret in 5 years

Socialite and entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has issued a warning to Kenyans, urging them to own land and businesses today or risk regretting it in five years
In a series of posts on Instagram on Monday, January 19, 2026, Huddah said locals must stop sleeping while foreigners increasingly take advantage of Kenya’s economic opportunities.
She emphasised that if Kenyans fail to act now, they risk losing out on the wealth and resources available in the country.
Describing Kenya as “Africa’s Dubai,” Huddah highlighted the immense potential for investment and growth. “Kuna pesa huku. Don’t sleep while others snatch your bag. Own a piece of this country today or cry in five years,” she wrote, stressing the urgency of taking action to secure one’s future.
She encouraged citizens to be proactive, reminding them that economic opportunities are limited and can disappear quickly if ignored.

Huddah also drew attention to the growing presence of foreigners investing in property, businesses, and employment opportunities across urban areas.
“Look around you, many people on the streets and in businesses are not Kenyan. You need to step up and claim your share before it’s too late,” she said.
She argued that locals must be vigilant to ensure that resources remain accessible to Kenyan citizens and that economic growth benefits them directly.
In addition to economic advice, Huddah defended President William Ruto, stating that leadership is no longer the main challenge.
“Ruto is not sleeping. Ruto is not the problem anymore. You need to move, hustle, and invest,” she added, reinforcing that the responsibility to secure one’s future rests with individual action.
For business owners, she stressed the importance of hiring Kenyans. “If you’re opening a business here, you must employ locals. Supporting our people is part of growing a strong economy,” she said, noting that this responsibility is essential for sustainable development and for keeping ordinary citizens from being left behind.
