Solfest postpones Nakuru, Kisumu shows, announces new dates

Solfest has postponed the Nakuru and Kisumu editions of its Solfest on the Road 2026 tour, with the organisers announcing that the two shows will now be held in late November.

The announcement was made through Solfest’s Instagram page on Friday, August 14, 2026, with organisers citing factors beyond their control for the change.

“To our Solfest family in Nakuru and Kisumu, due to factors beyond our control, the Kisumu and Nakuru editions of the ARBANSOL Nationwide Tour have been postponed to late November 2026,” the organisers said.

The organisers said more details would be released soon, including information on the venues.

The postponement means fans who had been preparing for the Nakuru and Kisumu stops will have to wait until November to experience the tour.

Solfest assured fans that the quality of the event remains a priority, saying the festival has “maintained a long reputation for top-tier festival experiences” and that it does not intend to change that.

Automatic refunds for existing tickets

Fans who had already purchased tickets for the affected shows will not need to apply separately for refunds.

Solfest said refunds for existing tickets will be issued automatically following the postponement.

The organisers apologised to fans for any inconvenience caused by the change and asked them to remain tuned in for further updates.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Keep the excitement burning; we will see you soon,” Solfest said.

Despite postponing the Nakuru and Kisumu editions, Solfest hinted at another development for fans of the tour.

The organisers asked followers to check their next post for details of a surprise final county show, adding another element of anticipation around the 2026 tour.

Solfest’s growing regional footprint

Solfest, founded by award-winning group Sauti Sol and Sol Generation, has grown into one of East Africa’s leading music and cultural platforms.

Its annual main event in Nairobi typically attracts large crowds, bringing together established artists and emerging talent.

The Solfest on the Road tour was designed to take the Solfest experience beyond Nairobi, connecting with audiences in key regional cities while showcasing Arbantone and related sounds.
