Reverend Kyula, Joshua Selman lead national anthem as Rhema Feast ends in fireworks display

President William Ruto, First Lady Rachael Ruto, Rhema Feast convener Reverend Julian Kyula and Nigerian preacher Apostle Joshua Selman joined hands in a powerful display of unity as they led thousands of worshippers in singing the national anthem at Uhuru Park.
The emotional moment unfolded on Friday, September 4, 2026, shortly after Ruto completed his address during the final day of the five-day Christian gathering, with Kyula taking over the microphone before inviting Selman back to the stage.
Selman then returned to the platform and stood alongside Kyula, Ruto and the First Lady as the four led the massive gathering in singing Kenya’s national anthem.
The sight of the President standing alongside the two prominent preachers and his wife as the crowd sang the anthem created a striking conclusion to the official ministry sessions of the five-day gathering.
Immediately after the anthem, fireworks erupted into the night sky above Uhuru Park as thousands of attendees broke into jubilant celebrations, marking the dramatic climax of the official Rhema Feast programme.
The fireworks illuminated the venue as worshippers cheered and celebrated after days of prayer, worship, preaching and spiritual teachings that had drawn thousands to the Nairobi park.
The official ministry programme, however, did not mark the end of the night.
Instead, the conclusion of the main sessions ushered attendees into a Kesha, allowing the gathering to continue deep into the night with further worship and musical performances.
Among those who continued ministering during the Kesha was internationally acclaimed gospel singer Minister Sinach, whose performance kept worshippers engaged after the official daytime and evening ministry sessions had concluded.
‘Come let us rebuild’
Rhema Feast had begun on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Uhuru Park under the theme “Come, Let Us Rebuild”, drawing its message from Nehemiah 2:17.
The five-day gathering was convened by Reverend Julian Kyula, founder and Senior Pastor of Ruach Assemblies, and brought together prominent Christian ministers, worship leaders and thousands of attendees from across Kenya and beyond.
The opening day on Monday, August 31, featured Bishop JB Masinde, Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, Minister Ntokozo Mbambo and Minister Njoki Munyi, setting the tone for a week centred on prayer, worship, teaching and spiritual transformation.
Tuesday, September 1, saw Apostle Isi Igenegba, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna, Minister Dr Tumi, Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo and Apostle Michael Orokpo take to the stage as the gathering entered its second day.
On Wednesday, September 2, Reverend Julian Kyula ministered alongside Apostle Mignonne Kabera, Apostle Michael Orokpo, Bishop JB Masinde, Apostle Felix Okoh and Apostle Grace Lubega.
Thursday, September 3, brought another major moment when Apostle Joshua Selman took to the Rhema Feast stage, receiving an electrifying welcome from worshippers who lit up Uhuru Park with their phone torches as he arrived.
Selman then returned for the final day on Friday, September 4, joining Apostle Grace Lubega, Reverend Julian Kyula, Pastor T Mwangi, Pastor George Macharia, Minister Dunsin Oyekan, Pastor David Ogbueli, Minister Sinach, Pastor Poju Oyemade and Apostle Lee Wambugu among those ministering during the final programme.
The final day also featured a major political and spiritual moment when Ruto addressed the gathering, telling thousands of young Kenyans that there was hope in the country and expressing confidence in the nation’s future.
Ruto said he was overwhelmed by what he had witnessed among young people, particularly their willingness to trust God, adding that the faith they had demonstrated had given the country renewed confidence.
He also recounted how someone had approached him the previous day warning him that there was an “invasion” at the Office of the President, only for him to later discover that the supposed invasion was by prayer warriors.
His address was followed by the moment Kyula took the microphone, before inviting Selman back to the stage for the national anthem.
With Ruto and Rachael Ruto standing alongside Kyula and Selman, the thousands gathered at Uhuru Park joined in singing the national anthem before the fireworks burst into the night sky.
The celebrations that followed brought an emphatic close to the official ministry sessions, even as the Kesha ensured that the night of worship and music at Uhuru Park continued well beyond the fireworks.
