Comedienne Dem Wa Facebook has shared an emotional post hours after Kenyans in Kitale received her like a hero after she joined Senator Allan Chesang as a chief guest during the finals of the ‘Senator Allan Chesang Super Cup’ on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

In the post shared on her TikTok page on Monday, December 8, 2025, Dem Wa Facebook, who began her journey as a young footballer before rising to fame as a comedienne, recalled the emotional weight of returning to the very pitch where she once trained, slept, and nurtured her early dreams.

“Yesterday, I went back home to Kitale Showground. This time, not as a young footballer seeking a dream, but as a guest joining my long-time friend and my Senator, Allan Chesang, for the Allan Chesang Super Cup finals. What many may not know is that this very field was once my home… the place I slept, trained, struggled, and hoped. Returning here felt like stepping into a chapter of my own story,” she wrote.

She described the experience as a full-circle moment, reflecting on the struggles and determination that defined her formative years in Kitale.

The football pitch, she said, had been her home in her youth, and standing on it again while witnessing young boys and girls receive prizes worth over five million Kenyan shillings left her deeply moved.

“Standing on the same ground and watching young boys and girls receive prizes worth over 5 million filled me with emotion. It reminded me how far I’ve come, and how powerful true leadership can be in shaping local talent,” she added.

The comedienne credited the event and its organisers for demonstrating the power of true leadership in shaping local talent.

She praised Senator Allan Chesang for keeping youth empowerment at the core of his vision, noting that seeing the next generation of athletes rewarded and recognised underscored the long-term impact of community-focused initiatives.

“Thank you, Senator Allan Chesang, for keeping the youth at the core of your vision. Yesterday wasn’t just a tournament… it was a full-circle moment that touched my heart deeply,” she wrote.
