Vijana Barubaru member Mwanaa has once again touched the hearts of his fans after sharing an emotional message about life without his late mother, eight weeks after her passing.

The award-winning rapper and songwriter took to his Instagram page on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, to reflect on the pain of losing his mother, saying Tuesdays have never been the same since she died.

His latest tribute comes nearly two months after he announced her death in a heartbreaking post that left fans and fellow artistes sending messages of comfort and support.

Singer says Tuesdays no longer feel the same

In his latest post, Mwanaa described Tuesdays as a painful reminder of the loss he continues to live with, saying every week brings back memories of his mother.

Although he admitted that words cannot fully express how much he misses her, he said her love continues to guide him every day.

“Eight Tuesdays without you, Mum. And Tuesdays have never learned how to smile again. They arrive wrapped in silence, carrying memories that still feel like yesterday. I miss you beyond words, but I carry your love in every step I take. Until we meet again,” Mwanaa wrote.

His grief remains fresh

Mwanaa first shared news of his mother’s passing in June through a deeply personal tribute, describing it as the saddest day of his life.

At the time, he spoke about the pain of losing someone who meant everything to him and admitted he wished he had been given one more chance to say goodbye. “Saddest day of my life. I need one more lunch date. I need to say goodbye properly. I can’t do life without you,” he wrote.

He also reflected on how difficult it had become to imagine life without his mother’s presence, saying they still had dreams and plans they had hoped to fulfil together. The musician described her as a woman with a kind heart whose love and guidance had shaped the person he is today.

Fans continue to stand with him

Since announcing his mother’s death, Mwanaa has occasionally shared updates showing that grief remains part of his daily life.

His latest tribute is another reminder that healing is a gradual journey, with some moments feeling heavier than others.

Mwanaa is one half of the Kenyan music duo Vijana Barubaru alongside Tuku Kantu. The pair have built a strong following through their love songs, including Sasa Hivi and Nakupenda, which have become favourites among Kenyan music lovers.

While fans continue celebrating the group’s music, many have also rallied behind Mwanaa during this difficult chapter, sending messages of encouragement and reminding him that he is not alone as he continues to honour his mother’s memory.
