Rachel Mbuki marks 18th anniversary with touching love story
Former Miss Kenya, Rachel Mbuki, has celebrated 18 years with her partner by sharing a heartfelt message about their journey together.
She looked back on the day they first met and reflected on how their relationship has remained strong over the years. Rachel said their story began during a group trip to Key West when they were both young.
“18 years ago yesterday we met, and we just knew we were home,” Rachel Mbuki said on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Rachel explained that the connection they felt from the beginning is something only the two of them can fully understand. She said their bond has remained strong throughout the years and believes there is a special reason why they connected so deeply from the moment they met.

“No one but us can understand how we felt or what keeps us glued to each other all these years,” Rachel said.
She went on to describe how familiar her partner felt despite being a stranger at the time. Rachel said she believes they may have shared many lifetimes because of how natural their connection was from the very beginning.
“I’m 100% certain we’ve been together many lifetimes before because how do you meet a stranger and just feel so familiar and like you’ve met your person the way we did on that group trip to Key West when we first met so young?” Rachel explained.
Celebrating 18 years together
Rachel also reflected on how quickly the years have passed since they met. She said it still feels like yesterday even though they are now celebrating 18 years together. According to her, the time has gone by so fast because they have enjoyed building a life together.

“How do you meet so young and never leave each other’s side? I love you, babe. Wow! 18 years? Feels just like yesterday. Time sure flies when you’re having fun,” Rachel said.
She ended her message by celebrating their relationship and expressing gratitude for the life they have shared. Rachel said she is looking forward to many more years together and believes there is no one else she would rather spend her life with.
“Cheers to the couple that defies ageing and expectations. Cheers to 18 more, my love. There’s no one else I’d ever want to do this life with,” Rachel Mbuki said.
