Dorea Chege addresses second pregnancy rumours

Kenyan actress and content creator Dorea Chege has responded to speculation that she could be expecting her second child with her partner, DJ Dibul.
Speaking during an interview at an event on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Dorea was asked about rumours that she could be pregnant after fans claimed to have noticed what appeared to be a baby bump during her recent trip to Zanzibar.
The speculation gained attention after the couple shared moments from their getaway, including an outing where they were seen interacting with turtles.
Dorea, however, said she had not come across the rumours before being asked about them. She did not confirm or deny the speculation, instead leaving the possibility open.
“Let’s wait and see, maybe or maybe not. You never know, but I’m 100 per cent ready,” she said.
Dorea and Dibul’s first child
Dorea and DJ Dibul welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in March 2025. The couple announced the arrival of their daughter on March 24, 2025, after previously confirming their pregnancy in January that year. Dorea described the birth as the end of a journey she had prayed and waited for.
The couple later revealed their daughter’s name as Tipharah Meleah Wanjiku Ndegwa, although she is also affectionately known as Shiku.
Dorea and Dibul have continued to share selected moments of their lives as parents, but they have kept one part of their daughter’s life private, that is her face.
Why Dorea and Dibul have not revealed their daughter’s face
Their daughter is now more than a year old, but fans are still waiting to see her face. The couple has explained that they are not in a hurry to introduce their child fully to the public and want to do it when they feel ready.
Dibul previously said they wanted their daughter to grow a little before making the decision to reveal her face publicly. The couple has maintained the same approach even during family celebrations. When their daughter turned one in March 2026, they shared family photos but continued to conceal her face, including using an emoji in one of the pictures.
Dorea has now reiterated that their decision remains unchanged.
“We are not in a hurry. We are still taking our time. God’s time is always the best. When the time comes, we will reveal. We, as the parents, just feel we are not ready yet,” she said.
Dorea and Dibul embrace parenthood
The couple has openly shared parts of their journey into parenthood, from the pregnancy to the birth of their daughter. Dorea previously described her pregnancy as an experience she enjoyed, while Dibul spoke about becoming a father and being present during the birth.
The two have also continued to mark important milestones in their daughter’s life while maintaining boundaries around what they share online. Dorea’s latest response now leaves fans waiting to see whether the pregnancy speculation will turn out to be true.
