Media personality Cindy Ogana has raised concern over the flowers Zuchu has been receiving in the hospital after recently giving birth.

In a statement on Monday, August 3, 2026, Cindy said she remembered her own postpartum experience and suggested that receiving many flowers at that time would not have been comfortable for her. She also raised a concern about flowers being around a newborn baby.

Cindy explained that her reaction was based on her experience after giving birth. She said the sight of many flowers in her space during that period would have been frightening for her. Cindy also said flowers may not be good for a newborn baby, adding another concern about the gifts being sent to Zuchu.

“Man, I remember when I was postpartum. This would have been the stuff of horrors for me! Plus all those flowers are not good for a newborn baby.” Cindy Ogana said on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Diamond speaks about the flowers

Cindy’s comments came after Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Diamond Platnumz spoke about the flowers being brought to the hospital by relatives visiting his newborn daughter. Diamond joked that the family had already received enough flowers and asked relatives to bring money instead. He mentioned uncles and aunties among those visiting the newborn.

Diamond said he did not understand the continued arrival of flowers, joking that the family had not given birth to a bee. He said the flowers already received were enough and suggested that money gifts would be more useful. His message was shared through an Instagram Story on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

“Wajomba na ma Aunty mnaokuja hospitali. Jamani, hatujazaa nyuki. Haya maua yanatosha, hebu njoeni na hela bana,” Diamond Platnumz said.

Diamond’s message came shortly after he and Zuchu welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. The two musicians announced the arrival of their daughter through emotional posts shared on their respective Instagram pages. The announcement was made on Sunday, August 2, 2026, after Zuchu gave birth.

Diamond’s message about the flowers was directed at relatives visiting the baby in hospital. He joked that money would be a better gift as the flowers had already become enough.

Cindy’s comments came as the discussion around gifts for the newborn continued. She focused on her own postpartum experience and the presence of flowers around a new baby.
