Businessman Bolo Bespoke has issued a fresh warning to media personality Oga Obinna, insisting that their Ksh2 million World Cup bet should remain valid regardless of how the final is decided.

In a statement shared on his social media page, on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Bolo said he wanted to clear up any confusion before the match, claiming he had received information suggesting there could be an attempt to avoid paying if the game ended in a draw after normal time.

The businessman said he was making his position public to ensure there would be no disagreements over the terms of the wager once the match begins.

According to Bolo, the bet should remain in force even if the game goes beyond the 90 minutes and is decided after extra time or a penalty shootout.

“I wish to formally notify the public that credible intelligence at my disposal suggests there may be a calculated attempt by Mr Obinna to repudiate his Ksh2 million obligation in the unfortunate event that the match concludes in a draw,” Bolo said.

He maintained that the outcome of the match should be determined by the official final result, regardless of the stage at which the winning team is confirmed.

Says the agreement should remain binding

Bolo emphasised that neither side should attempt to alter the terms of the wager after it had already been publicly accepted.

He argued that there should be no room for different interpretations once the match gets underway.

“To eliminate any possibility of ambiguity, misinterpretation or procedural manipulation, I hereby categorically affirm that the wager remains valid irrespective of the outcome after regulation time. Should the contest proceed to extra time and ultimately be decided by a penalty shootout, the terms of the bet shall remain fully enforceable and binding,” he stated.

Bolo further insisted that neither technicalities nor new conditions should be introduced after the agreement. “No retrospective amendments, technicalities or creative reinterpretations of the agreement shall be entertained,” he added.

Feud began with a KSh500,000 challenge

The latest statement comes after Obinna initially challenged anyone backing Spain to a Ksh500,000 bet ahead of the FIFA World Cup final.

Bolo later responded by raising the stake to Ksh1 million before Obinna accepted the challenge and doubled it to Ksh2 million, saying they should settle the bet in cash while watching the match together.

The public exchange has since attracted widespread attention online, with fans closely following the rivalry between the two personalities ahead of the highly anticipated final.

Bolo concluded his latest statement by urging members of the public to ensure Obinna receives the message, saying he wants complete transparency before the match begins.

“Kindly assist in ensuring that this communiqué reaches the YouTube gentleman at the earliest opportunity. Let there be absolute transparency and accountability,” he said.

With both men publicly standing by the Ksh2 million wager, attention has now shifted to whether the bet will go ahead as agreed and if the loser will honour the commitment once the World Cup final comes to an end.
