Adelle Onyango shares mindset shift that changed her life for the better

Media personality Adelle Onyango has shared a personal message about the mindset that she says changed her life for the better.

She encouraged people to take a moment to recognise how far they have come, rather than focusing only on where they still want to go. According to Adelle, believing in one’s own ability is an important step towards achieving personal goals.

“Do you ever stop and remind yourself how proud you are of YOU? Think about how far you’ve come, how much you bet on yourself!” Adelle Onyango said on Monday, June 29, 2026.

She explained that people should not spend all their time thinking about the future. Instead, she said it is important to appreciate the present while also recognising the potential they have to achieve even more. Adelle added that acknowledging that potential can become a source of motivation.

“Forget where you want to go for a second and sit in not only where you are but also where YOU KNOW you have the capacity to go. It is important to ACKNOWLEDGE that CAPACITY. THAT is where your fuel comes from,” Adelle explained.

Believing in your own potential

Adelle said she has become fully aware of her own ability to create the life she wants. She explained that this belief has helped shape the way she approaches her goals and dreams. According to her, recognising personal capacity has been an important part of her growth.

“I am so AWARE that I, Adelle, have the CAPACITY to be and build whatever I want,” Adelle said.

She added that no one else can make those dreams happen on her behalf. Instead, she believes that taking responsibility for her own future has changed the way she thinks. She said this shift in mindset has given her greater confidence in herself.

“I am the one who can bring my dreams to life. And that alone changed my mindset for the better,” Adelle said.

In her message, she focused on the importance of self-belief and appreciating personal progress. She encouraged people to remember the steps they have already taken and to trust in their ability to keep moving forward. Adelle’s reflection highlighted the value of recognising one’s own strength while continuing to work towards future goals.
