Bishop Kiengei praises staff for 8 years of loyal service after storm over Ruto visit
Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM) founder Benson Gathungu, popularly known as Bishop Kiengei, has praised one of her staff after eight years of loyal service that has seen both of them grow.
Kiengei recounted that for the last 8 years, he has worked with Caroline Ngugi in his teams, with the latter shining all through.
In a statement on Facebook on Monday, March 9, 2026, the popular preacher narrated that their journey of service started way back at Kiengei Live Media, with Caroline following him as he changed churches, from AIPCA Church Gatundu, AIPCA Church Kibia and to his current home, JCM.
“Caroline Ngugi (Carol), Your shining is my immense happiness, for the last 8 years you’ve served under Kiengei Live Media, Aipca Church Gatundu, Aipca Church Kibia and now at JCM CHURCH INT’L HQ’S,” he stated.
Kiengei affirmed that all these years, he believed in Caroline’s potential and as she used her talent to minister.
He added that true anointing is known through attraction, and all through her years of service, Caroline has attracted many through her music.

“I totally believed in your wings that you can fly. See now what God is doing through your Talent? As I told you yesterday, Anointing is known through attraction, and you’ve now attracted people into your music life,” the preacher stated.

He expressed pride at her success, stating that the young lady from Gatanga wasin search of a father figure, a position which he (Kiengei) took.
“I am so proud of a girl who came from Gatanga in search of a father, and you found one in me,” he added.
The preacher shared that he attended Caroline’s music launch on Sunday, March 8, an event which was a fulfilment of a journey that he has always believed in.
“It was an honour to attend your Music Launch yesterday….. Askofu anapenda wewe, zidi kumtumikia Mungu naye atakupa Pawa,” he concluded.
High-profile exits at JCM
His celebration of her dedicated service comes at a time when JCM is witnessing defections, with senior pastors and prominent members of the church exiting.

The latest wave came after Kiengei hosted President Ruto at the church while celebrating JCM’s third anniversary. Pastor James Njoroge are among those who made their exits public.
Other high-profile personalities who were once associated with JCM opted for a silent exit.
