2025 AFCON: IshowSpeed to headline grand finale in Morocco
American streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, has confirmed that he will go live during the Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] finals, which will be held later today at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
In a teaser video on his YouTube channel on Sunday, January 18, 2026, the streamer also revealed that the arrival for the key match will mark the official commencement of his highly anticipated Morocco African tour stream.
“irl stream in Morocco will also feature Afcon final,” the streamer titled his YouTube teaser.
The highly anticipated clash will see Africa’s football powerhouses go head-to-head as Morocco, aiming to win their first title in 50 years, take on Sadio Mané’s Senegal.
The match kicks off at 19:00 GMT at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, where nearly all of the 69,000-strong crowd are expected to back Morocco, captained by African Player of the Year and PSG right back Achraf Hakimi.
Previous stream
Before Morocco, Speed was in Algeria, where massive crowds, street interactions and stadium chants once again followed his every move.
During his time in the North African country, the streamer encountered a brief language barrier, as the majority of fans he met in the streets spoke Arabic, which is the most widely used language in the region.
Despite the communication challenge, Speed seamlessly connected with fans through gestures, humour and his trademark energetic presence.
After navigating the streets, the American content creator visited several busy areas where hundreds of fans gathered, eagerly waiting to watch him perform his famous signature backflips.

Speed also took time to explore some of Algeria’s key landmarks, including a visit to the tallest building in the capital, where he marvelled at the city skyline while continuing to livestream the experience to his global audience.
The Algeria visit came shortly after Speed streamed from the Sahara Desert, following a brief but historic stop in Egypt, where he became the first streamer in the world to go live from the pyramids in Giza.
Before arriving in North Africa, the streamer had been in Ethiopia, which became his 10th country on the tour.
His Ethiopia visit came shortly after he spent two days in Kenya, where he livestreamed from several locations and interacted closely with fans who turned out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of him.
Prior to Kenya, Speed had toured Rwanda, continuing a fast-paced journey that has seen him criss-cross the continent while documenting culture, landmarks and spontaneous street moments for his millions of followers worldwide.
Other tour highlights
From Angola, he travelled to South Africa, receiving an overwhelming welcome marked by massive crowds, street interactions and viral livestream moments.
His third stop was Mozambique, where he arrived on Saturday, January 3, 2026. There, Speed streamed from city streets and coastal areas, joined traditional dancers and acrobats, and openly praised the country’s scenery and culture.
After Mozambique, Speed headed to Eswatini, then to Botswana, where he streamed from the jungle and went on safari, before proceeding to Zimbabwe as his sixth destination. While in Zimbabwe, he announced a brief one-day break before resuming his tour activities.
On Friday, January 9, 2026, the streamer arrived in Zambia, his seventh stop, where thousands of fans turned out to greet him. During the visit, he toured the capital, received custom artwork from a local artist, sampled local food and interacted with children during a karate class.
