Zuchu’s bestie Nandy reveals she was shocked to learn of her wedding to Diamond

Tanzanian songstress Zuhura Othman, alias Zuchu, tied the knot with her longtime beau Diamond Platnumz on June 1, 2025, and following their closely guarded wedding, many artistes have been stepping into the spotlight to share their sentiments on the unexpected nuptials.
Among the most recent to speak out is Zuchu’s bosom friend and fellow singer Nandy, who, despite their tight-knit bond, candidly confessed that she had no inkling whatsoever that a wedding had been planned.
Speaking to Tanzanian YouTubers who cornered her for a comment following an event on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Nandy revealed that she was genuinely taken aback upon seeing the wedding photographs make their debut on Instagram.
She shared that she was ok with that but insisted that she is harbouring hopes that the couple will consider extending her an invitation when they decide to hold a more public celebration of their union.
“No, I was not invited; it was a private affair, and everyone was caught by surprise, but I do believe I shall be invited to the public ceremony,” she said.

At the same time, Nandy, who is married to rapper Billnas, was quick to stress that she does not believe she has any profound relationship advice to offer the ‘Sukari’ crooner.
She explained that this is because their friendship is so deeply intertwined and regularly nurtured through endless chats and mutual support that such advice is already flowing between them in abundance.
She insisted that even if she were to offer a heartfelt piece of wisdom in an open interview, it would add no real weight, as their bond is already steeped in shared counsel.
“To be honest, I cannot give her advice online because we talk so much and we constantly advise each other, so my advice is already with her in plenty, and hers is with me in abundance as well,” she explained.
Zuchu and Diamond’s wedding
The much-talked-about wedding took place on June 1, 2025, officially drawing the curtain on a rollercoaster romance that had been riddled with public breakups, emotional reconciliations, and no less than three dramatic separations announced by Zuchu herself throughout their dating saga.
Diamond shared the exciting news with his fans through a series of photos on Instagram, accompanied by a long, cryptic message.
In his post, the Bongo Flava sensation spoke about the maturity of staying silent even when people speak falsely about you.
“One of the things I’ve learned is the maturity of remaining silent… This maturity requires a high level of patience. It demands you to have endurance, especially when someone or people falsely accuse you in public, while you know the truth but choose to stay quiet,” he wrote.
Adding:
“It is not easy, but the rewards are great, because your battles are fought by God, and you end up winning every time,” he noted.
“I know everyone has a different picture of Diamond Platnumz and marriage. But today, I want to tell you that Diamond Platnumz has been married before… And someday I’ll explain what happened,” he stated.
Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote, also confirmed the wedding on her Instagram, congratulating the couple.
“Alhamdulillah, it went well. Congratulations, my son Naseeb and your wife Zuhura,” she wrote.
In a video circulating online, Zuchu is seen recording herself in a car with Diamond, joyfully saying, “My husband, we are married,” while Diamond laughs in the background.
