Size 8 reflects on God’s restoration a year after marital breakdown

Gospel singer and pastor Linet Munyali, alias Size 8, has reflected on how far her life has come in just a year after going through one of her most difficult seasons in her marriage.
In a heartfelt post shared on social media on Monday, August 4, 2025, the mother of two opened up about the pain and turmoil she endured around the same time last year, revealing that her marriage had broken down and her family was in disarray.
She attributed her journey of healing to God’s mercy, grace, love, and power. She also shared a message of encouragement to anyone currently experiencing struggles in their marriage or personal life.
However, the celebrated said she did not foresee the turnaround God would bring in her life within just 12 months. She described her current season as one of celebration, overwhelmed with gratitude for divine restoration.
“My message to you today, who is reading this, is don’t be quick to give up on God, no matter your situation…. To those who are crying to God for their marriages, please don’t give up hope, the Lord is Jehovah Sabaoth,” she said.
“Last year on my birthday, my world was in chaos, my heart was in pain and turmoil, my family was broken, and my marriage was no more… I did not know that God would turn my life around within a year, AND I would be singing celebration songs.”
She went on to thank her husband, DJ Mo, and their children, expressing joy in sharing life with them again after a turbulent year.
“To you, husband, @djmokenya and my children, @ladashabelle.wambo, @muraya.jnr, I so love the fact that God has graced me with the opportunity to share life with you. I love you, my family,” she wrote, adding affectionate emojis.
She also extended her love to her wider family, the Munyalis, and appreciation to her spiritual home, Harvesters Global Church, for standing with her through every season.
Marital woes
Size 8 and DJ Mo have been open in the past about the challenges in their marriage.
On August 1, 2024,Size 8, announced that her 11-year marriage to DJ Mo has come to an end, and she is now embracing single life.
She acknowledged that while marriage can be a divine blessing, it sometimes does not work out as one hopes, adding that she was starting a new chapter as a single woman.
“Sometimes marriage works by God’s grace and sometimes it does not work, but all in all, God is still on the throne!!!! I’ve been married for 11 years, and now I start the Journey of singlehood! But God is still on the throne. I worship you, Yahweh!” Size 8 shared.
However, they later reunited and renewed their vows.
