‘Thank you for choosing me’- Selena Gomez expresses gratitude to Rema for picking her for ‘Calm Down’ remix

American actress and musician Selena Gomez has expressed her gratitude to Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor alias Rema for picking her to feature in his universal hit song ‘Calm Down’ remix.

Through her Instagram page, in a post that has amassed over 5 million likes, the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ actor penned a sweet message to Rema noting how he had changed her life forever for encouraging her to take part in the monumental tune.

“This man has changed my life forever. Rema, thank you for choosing me to be a part of one of the biggest songs in the world. Love you forever,” she wrote.

In reaction to the post, Rema reposted the message on his page, praising Selena’s “love and purity of heart.”

“I’m humbled by your love & purity of heart you’re a Gem, A true icon. Love you Queen,” he wrote.

23-year-old Rema who is a master of chilled-out and summertime moods, released ‘Calm Down’ under his debut album Rave and Roses.

One year ago the tune made it to Billiboard’s 100 list, becoming Rema’s first entry into the charts while placing Selena Gomez at the peak of her career.

The original song has so far amassed a total of 490,000 YouTube views while the viral remix has over 530,000 views.
