Samidoh announces return to Kenya after month‑long US tour

Mugithi star and serving police officer Samuel Muchoki, widely known as Samidoh, has confirmed his long‑awaited return to Kenya after wrapping up a musical tour across the United States.

Taking to his official social media channels, the ‘Wendo wa Ihera’ hitmaker shared the news that his Kenyan fans had been eagerly waiting for, stating that he will throw a party to mark his homecoming.

The official homecoming event is slated for July 26 and will take place at a popular entertainment spot in Nairobi.

The line-up features big industry names including Tonny Young, Joyce wa Mama, DJ Dibul, Bahati, Jose Gatutura, Wanja Asali, and most notably, Waithaka wa Jane.

“Finally it’s time to be home! This is not just a show, it’s a celebration for the love you keep showing me, on and on,” Samidoh announced.

He departed Kenya on May 29, 2025, to embark on a musical tour.

US musical tour

His anticipated return comes after staying in the US for approximately 47 days and performing a number of shows.

Samidoh, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, unveiled the full calendar of his USA performances, disclosing that his final show is scheduled for July 12, 2025, in Seattle, Washington.

“Samidoh USA shows 12th July ‘Ngemi ci Ruraya’ – 23811 W Valley HWY, Seattle, Washington,” read the tour calendar he posted.

Samidoh, who had first shared an image announcing his departure from the country on May 29, 2025, is set to commence his tour with a performance on June 21, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

He will thereafter proceed to Austin, Texas, for a second show on June 28, 2025, before heading to Lowell, Massachusetts, for a performance at the Tescobar Performance Centre on July 4, 2025.

Following that, the father of five will travel to Dallas, Texas, for a penultimate show at the Empire Event Centre on July 5, 2025, before wrapping up the tour with a final curtain call in Seattle on July 12, 2025.

Accompanying the itinerary, Samidoh shared a reflective caption underscoring the humility required even in the heights of triumph:

“No matter how high an eagle flies up the sky, it will come down to look for food – Wise men proverb.”
