Controversial gospel artiste Ringtone Apoko, on Monday, got emotional while apologizing to DJ Mo and his wife Size 8 for creating a scene at their event.

His apology comes a day after DJ Mo kicked him out of an event where his wife, Size 8, was launching her music album. At the time, DJ Mo was accusing Ringtone of disrespecting Size 8 by making a demeaning comment about her.

In an interview with YouTuber Eve Mungai, the Backslide hitmaker issued an apology following the Sunday night events which according to him, did not portray a good image to the gospel industry.

“I want to ask Kenyans for their forgiveness because we ashamed Jesus as gospel artistes. I have seen how Kenyans react to the video of what transpired yesterday, most of them have started hating Christianity because of our conduct,” Ringtone said.

Though he apologized, Ringtone maintained that he did nothing wrong to Size 8 that could have triggered DJ Mo to chase him out of the event.

According to him, the only mistake he did at the event was to show support for Size 8.

“I did not do any wrong to Size 8… When she called gospel ministers to stand, as a gospel artiste I stood too. I think that was my only mistake but I ask for her forgiveness because I didn’t know she doesn’t recognize me as a son of God,” he said.
