Gospel singer Size 8 has shared a reflection on life, time, and the choices she made in her younger years, admitting she now carries regrets as she approaches 39.

In an emotional message directed at young people during a TV show on Sunday, May 31, 2026, the singer spoke about how quickly time has passed and how differently she would have lived if she had understood life earlier.

“I am now turning 39 in August… I wish I had used my youthful days better,” she said.

Youthful lessons

Size 8 said she has been reflecting deeply on her journey and realised that many years “went by too fast,” leaving her questioning how she used her youthful energy and opportunities.

She encouraged young people to be intentional with their time, warning that the habits and choices made in youth often shape the rest of life.

“You look back and wonder where the years went,” she said in her message, adding that many people only realise the value of time when it is already behind them.

Time perspective

The singer shared that turning 39 has shifted her perspective on life, prompting her to evaluate how she spends her days.

She said she now views time as limited and valuable, stressing that wasted years cannot be recovered. Her reflection carried a tone of urgency, especially for young audiences who may not yet feel the pressure of time.

“Right now, I don’t waste time the way I used to. I’ve realised time is the most expensive thing we have,” she added.

Size 8 added that she has become more intentional with her daily life, choosing to focus on her work and personal growth rather than distractions.

Addressing young people directly, she urged them not to take their youthful years lightly, saying experiences such as social outings and lifestyle choices should be balanced with long-term thinking.

She noted that many people only realise the importance of discipline and focus later in life, when opportunities have already narrowed.
