Reverend Julian Kyula, head preacher of Ruach Assemblies, has narrated how a random man he met pledged USD25 million [approximately Ksh3.2 billion] to partner with him in building a city, a vision he had announced ten years ago.

Speaking on day four of the Koinonia Global Faith Convention in Nigeria on Saturday, November 22, 2025, Kyula shared that the man initially invited him to bless a recently purchased piece of land valued at the enormous sum, but later proposed a partnership that would accelerate the realisation of his long-term city project.

“So there is this man who said, ‘Come and see me.’ He drove me to a piece of land in his country and told me they had just bought the property for about 25 million dollars, and now they were doing ABCD. I said, ‘Oh, you should have reminded me to carry my oil so I can bless your land.’”

He explained that this encounter reinforced his belief in divine provision, highlighting that God often places people strategically to assist in fulfilling spiritual assignments.

“He said, ‘I know, I called you to bless it, but because you operate as a king priest, I wanted to propose something different.’ I asked, ‘What did you want to propose?’ He said, ‘I remember you announced 10 years ago that you were going to build a city. I want us to partner so that this can be your city.’ I asked him, ‘What are you talking about?’” Kyula shared.

The Kenyan preacher further elaborated that the experience illustrated the concept of Nehemiah grace, a biblical principle emphasising that God can provide resources and opportunities without struggle, and that believers should trust in the alignment of people and circumstances to fulfil their divine calling.

“Then I began to understand the dimensions in the Nehemiah grace from Isaiah 55, which says, ‘Come and buy without money.’ Some of you think you are going to struggle for the things God wants to do for you, but I want you to understand that someone, somewhere, has already been set for your assignment. What took others 100 years, I declare God will finish in 52 days,” Kyula added.

During the convention, Reverend Kyula received a red carpet welcome from Apostle Joshua Selman, the founder of Koinonia Global Ministries, who introduced him to the congregation and praised his integrity, character, and ministry impact in Kenya and across Africa.

The pastor was guided to a meticulously arranged podium amid jubilant choir performances, and the audience rose to celebrate his presence, reflecting the admiration and respect he commands.

Apostle Selman spoke about his long-standing friendship with Reverend Kyula, noting the pastor’s virtuous character and devotion to ministry, and acknowledging the influence he has had not only in Kenya but also across the continent through events such as the Rhema Feast.

“We are happy and honoured to have him all the way from the beautiful nation of Kenya. Now I love Africa, but I love Kenya. I do not know what you have done to me, Kenya, but I love Kenya seriously,” he said.

The convention, widely regarded as Nigeria’s version of Kenya’s Rhema Feast, also featured other prominent ministers, including Lady Bishop Funke Felix Adejumo, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Nathaniel Bassey, and Bishop David Abioye.
