Ruach Ministries founder Reverend Pastor Julian Kyula has revealed that this year’s RHEMA FEAST 2025 nearly faced cancellation after he received counsel advising him to postpone the annual event.

Speaking on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Pastor Kyula said that eight weeks before the gathering, respected individuals approached him with concerns and urged him to hold back.

“People came and began to speak to me wise counsel and said to me, ‘There are things we have heard, and we want to come to you in all humility and ask you, the way things are looking, let us postpone this year’s Rhema Feast,’” Kyula recalled.

He said that while he listened to the counsel, he sought clarity in prayer. In that place of prayer, he explained, God reminded him that the vision belonged to Him, and that while counsel is important, the voice of the Holy Spirit must take precedence.

“What almost looked like a cancellation turned into a move of God. Because of obedience, a nation experienced revival. Never let pressure or opinion replace what God has spoken. Obedience will always open the door to His power,” he added.

Rhema Feast 2025, which ran from September 1, 2025, to September 5, 2025, attracted thousands of believers from across Kenya and beyond.

Pastor T. Mwangi of Life Church International, Limuru, was among the other headliners, adding further inspiration to the five-day event alongside prominent preachers, including Lady Bishop Funke Felix Adejumo of Nigeria, South Africa-based Felix Okoh, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna, Bishop J.B. Masinde, and Apostle Joshua Selman.

During the last day of the event, thousands of worshippers erupted in applause as Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a, head of Neno Evangelism, delivered a stirring testimony at the grand finale of the gospel concert Rhema Feast at Uhuru Park.

Despite having no formal education, Pastor Ng’ang’a recounted how he has been favoured by God throughout his life and ministry, emphasising that divine guidance, not human learning, defines true success.

“Hallelujah! What God can do, no man can do. I thank the Lord because of this revival that has come. We were here at Uhuru Park during the last bomb blast, and as the minister said, revival has come to Kenya. Let me give you my testimony: I am not learnt, but I have Jesus,” he said.

He shared his personal journey, recalling his time in prison between 1989 and 1992 and explaining that even without academic qualifications, he remained steadfast in faith.

Pastor Ng’ang’a described how he started ministry work shortly after leaving prison and relied solely on his trust in God to overcome obstacles and achieve spiritual growth.

He attributed every blessing, including the ongoing revival in Kenya, to divine intervention rather than formal schooling.

“I experienced prison in 1989 and came out in 1992. Here, I was doing crusades. I left school in 1965 with no certificates, but I am with Jesus. Today, all of you who have come here will leave with miracles,” he added.
