KeNHA announces temporary closure of section of Ruiru-Tatu City-Kiambu Road

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary closure of a section of the Ruiru-Tatu City-Kiambu Road.

In a statement on Saturday, December 21, 2024, KeNHA announced that the road will be temporarily closed at a section between Kirigiti Roundabout to St Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

The closure will commence on Monday, December 23, 2024, midnight to Monday, January 6, 2025, 6:00 pm.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) would like to inform the public that Ruiru – Tatu City Kiambu (B115) Road will be temporarily closed at a section between Kirigiti Roundabout to St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The closure will commence on Monday December 23, 2024, Midnight to Monday January 6, 2025 1800hrs,” KeNHA stated.

The authority announced that all traffic will be diverted through Kirigiti-Rui Stage Junction in Kiambu town as an alternative route during the period.

KeNHA says the closure will facilitate rehabilitation and reconstruction of the road section to facilitate seamless flow of traffic.

“Motorists are requested to exercise caution around the work zones, and to follow the proposed traffic management plan below as well as cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” KeNHA added.
