Natalie Githinji’s emotional appeal to gov’t

Radio presenter cum actress Natalie Githinji on Monday, June 11, 2024, sent out an emotional appeal to the national government.

Through her official social media page, Natalie who is battling with endometriosis requested a meet-up with President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua to discuss the issue of endometriosis in terms of treatment and health care.

In her open letter to the government, Natalie highlighted the suffering women who are battling with endometriosis go through.

“This was me 3 years ago. Endo eats you up hady unakaa skeleton walai. Anyway, this is my plea today. A letter to the gov’t. Dear gov’t, I’ll appreciate if I’m given a chance to just sit with the President of Kenya Hon. William Samoei Ruto, and the Deputy President of Kenya Hon. Rigathi Gachagua and just talk about how women suffering from this monster can be helped to manage living with endometriosis,” she appealed.

The endo warrior, also pleaded for the presence of both First Lady Rachel Ruto and Pastor Dorcas Rigathi during the meet-up with the Head of State since they are in a better position to understand the topic.

“I also appreciated the presence of the First Lady Rachel Ruto and Her Excellency Pastor Dr. Dorcas Rigathi as they are women and would understand all about periods and what we go through as women,” she requested.

Natalie’s request to fans

To create awareness of endometriosis, the radio queen requested that her fans help her tag Ruto and share her post with as many people as possible.

“Please tag them as many times as you can and write ‘Please give her a chance’ I’ll appreciate your support fam….🙏🙏 let’s do this together. Please don’t get tired of tagging them even a million times 🙏🏽 Also share this post with as many friends as you can and kindly request them to help us tag and tag,” she said.

Natalie’s Endo journey

The radio queen who has been vocal about her battle with endometriosis disclosed that she underwent her first surgery for endometriosis treatment on June 10, 2021.

Sharing her experience, Natalie disclosed that the surgery took three hours which scared her mother who thought the procedure would take only an hour adding that ladies battling with the ailment fight for their lives every month.

“A day like this, 3 years ago, I underwent my first endometriosis surgery. Yoooo!!! nilikaa 3 hrs na mu mum thought ni surgery ya 1hr…. sema mathee kupanikiii..She’ll give her side of the story soon. The way she thought I had died and the doctors hawakua wanataka kumwambia, simply because I took long kwa hiyo surgery room….si mchezo walai. Ladies with endometriosis fight for their lives every month imagine. It’s sad but God is in control,” she said.
