Mulamwah makes a comeback, flaunting over Ksh500K earnings from Meta

Digital content creator and comedian David Oyando, widely known as Mulamwah, has made a notable return to the spotlight by revealing his impressive earnings from Facebook’s monetisation program.
On Monday night, August 25, 2025, after a period of absence that had prompted fans to question his whereabouts, Mulamwah returned to his official social media channels and shared a screenshot of his earnings dashboard.
The comedian disclosed that despite a period of reduced posting, he earned over Ksh500,000 in a single month.

“Was not posting much but still made half a millie from FB last month – kuna story nitawapea siku moja about strategy & game theory … ujanja ni kukaa tu fala,” Mulamwah wrote.

Advice to young people
The former radio host further advised young people that the rule was simple, make money and disappear from social media, suggesting that after gathering enough resources, one should leave the forest before it becomes dark.
“Young king/queen, the rule is simpl:e make cash … disappear. After getting enough fruit leave the forest before it’s dark,” he advised.
Online monetisation
This comes after the comedian revealed that he made a sum of $8,844.78, translating to Ksh1,142,745.58, through Facebook monetisation.
The comedian posted a screenshot of his Facebook earnings dashboard to his Instagram Stories on July 24, 2025, showing the impressive six-figure payout. The entertainer added a funny caption to the post.
He wrote, “Facebook is finally paying. Ujanja ni kukaa mjinga. Facebook imechangamka.”
The news sparked online discussions, with fans praising the comedian for earning money from his work and some admitting they were unaware of the substantial income Facebook generates for content creators.
His earnings come amidst a broader trend of Kenyan entertainers leveraging digital platforms to generate significant income, signalling a shift towards more sustainable and diversified revenue streams in the entertainment industry.
