President Yoweri Museveni’s son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has left tongues wagging after declaring his admiration for global superstar Beyoncé while jokingly challenging her husband, Jay-Z.

In a statement on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) boldly declared that Jay-Z could do whatever he wanted to him, but he was taking Beyoncé.

“Jay-Z can do whatever he wants to me but I’m taking Beyonce!,” he said.

He did not stop there, further stirring controversy by challenging Jay-Z to a duel at dawn, with the stipulation that if he won, he would take Beyoncé.

“I challenge Jay-Z to a duel at dawn. If I win I take Beyonce,” Muhoozi said.

Muhoozi also expressed his frustration, saying that Jay-Z had disturbed him enough.

“This guy has disturbed me enough!” he added.

Muhoozi on love for Beyonce

This is not the first time he publically declared his love for Beyonce, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, said that he was ready to pay a dowry in order to settle with the American singer.

“But how long will I wait for Beyonce? Does she know how many cows I have?” Kainerugaba stated.

Muhoozi on beautiful women

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Muhoozi acknowledged the beauty of Kenyan ladies, adding that they all love him.

However, the outspoken general added that even though Kenya is blessed with pretty ladies, the men are not good-looking.

The Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) went on to say that Kenya is his second childhood home.

“Kenya is my second childhood home. I remember how pretty the girls were and how they all loved me. I also remember how ugly the boys were,” Muhoozi stated.

Muhoozi on his looks

In October 2022, Muhoozi bragged about how he is the most handsome man in the whole of East Africa.

“My Somali sisters gave me this cup a long time ago. I’m the most handsome man in East Africa! Al Shabaab can go drown in the Indian Ocean. Happy Flag Day, my beautiful people in Somalia. We love you!” he tweeted.

Museveni’s son further asked men to stop being jealous of him and just calm down.

“Ah, gentlemen. Please swallow that pill. Ninye! It is I…the most handsome man in East Africa! Whatever you do. Facts are facts!” Muhoozi said.
