Mueni rejects Bolo Bespoke’s surprise, says it’s not enough

What was intended as a romantic surprise from Bolo Bespoke to his wife, Mueni, quickly turned tense on Monday, September 8, 2025, as the couple confronted the reality of their small home.

Bolo had arranged for a lorry to deliver an assortment of expensive household appliances, including a new TV, a double-door fridge, a sound bar, a microwave, and a washing machine, hoping to delight his wife.

However, Mueni’s reaction was far from the expected excitement. She immediately expressed frustration that the delivery consisted only of electronics, insisting that it was not enough.

She revealed that she had been expecting a full haul, including sofas, dining sets, and other furniture, making the gesture feel incomplete in her eyes.

“I just hope another lorry is coming. I don’t want electronics alone. No, don’t tell me to calm down; it’s not about calming down. If you brought electronics, that means you listened to my complaints, but I hope there is another lorry coming with sofas and dining sets,” Munei said.

Mueni also highlighted the practical challenges of fitting all the appliances into their small house, stressing that even Bolo’s personal belongings, packed in suitcases, already took up considerable space.

She questioned how the new items would fit, pointing out that the double-door fridge and other large electronics could not be accommodated easily, and warned against trying to place everything inside the house.

Despite her frustrations, Mueni made it clear that her reaction was not born of ingratitude. She expressed appreciation for Bolo’s effort, acknowledging the gesture while emphasising that her concerns were rooted in both practicality and unmet expectations.

“Leave the other lorry aside. These appliances, where do you want them to fit? This double-door fridge, where will it fit? You brought other things too; where will they go? Babe, I’m not saying I’m unappreciative. I am so happy you did this, and I don’t take it for granted, but I’m just asking, where will they go? Our house is too small; it can’t even fit your shoes. Your things are packed in suitcases, so where will these appliances fit? This is a small house we are talking about; don’t have them delivered inside because they won’t fit,” Mueni added.

The confrontation unfolded after Bolo called Mueni outside to see the lorry that had just arrived with the surprise delivery.
