Kenyan Gospel singer Mr Seed recently revealed the reason behind his decision to get a tattoo marking the date of a harrowing road accident he was involved in.
Speaking to Mungai Eve, the artiste disclosed how the excruciating pain he endured during the accident inspired him to permanently ink the traumatic experience into his memory.
“Iyo siku nilikua naskia uchungu like I had never felt before, and I needed to feel a different pain, not like the pain that I was feeling in my pelvis. So I called the tattoo guy,” Mr. Seed shared.
Mr Seed and his friends were involved in a grisly accident on April 29, 2023.

Recalling the fateful day in detail, Mr Seed explained how he woke up to a nightmarish scene.
“I was sleeping, and when I opened my eyes, is when I saw that the cars had collided. Our car rolled, and I felt unconscious. I woke up like 20 minutes later only to find that our car was upside down,” he narrated.
In that terrifying moment, Mr. Seed’s survival instincts kicked in.
“In my mind, something told me to get out of the car as fast as possible before it exploded. I struggled my way out while crawling on top of broken glasses through the back windscreen,” he explained.
However, his escape from the wreckage was far from painless.
“I succeeded on my way out, but I didn’t realize that my pelvis was cracked until I tried to get up. I felt so much pain that I blacked out. I didn’t even know where the people we were with were; I just saw them from a distance when I opened my eyes,” he shared.
Luckily, a good Samaritan passing by stopped to lend a helping hand.
“A public car that was passing by stopped and rescued me first, took me to the hospital, and called my wife, I am very grateful to those people because they cancelled their plans to help me. I didn’t know that one of us died because nobody wanted to tell me since I was still undergoing X-rays,” he narrated the incident.
Doctors advised Mr. Seed to undergo an extended period of bed rest, fearing he might never walk again.
In a past Instagram story weeks after the accident, the 27-year-old expressed optimism and noted that he was grateful for surviving the grisly accident.
