Entrepreneur and public speaker Michelle Ntalami has marked two years of sobriety with a heartfelt testimony on how giving up alcohol and partying has transformed her life, bringing her closer to God and giving her deeper peace and purpose.

In a reflective post shared on her Instagram on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the Marini Naturals founder announced that it had officially been two years since she last touched alcohol or stepped into a club.

Describing the decision as one of the most important choices she has ever made, Michelle said the journey had redeemed her time, energy, and finances, and led her to a more meaningful life rooted in Christ.

“Today, August 5th officially marks 2 years since alcohol touched my lips, and also since I ever ‘partied’ or went clubbing. 🙌🏾 Without a doubt, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Walking away from that lifestyle has brought me so much clarity, peace and purpose. It’s redeemed so much including my time, energy and finances,” Ntalami wrote.

She noted that what many people seek in alcohol, clubbing and temporary highs is actually a deeper spiritual connection.

“💰 What many of us are really chasing in alcohol, clubs, and all these fleeting thrills is something deeper. We say we’re looking for “a good time,” but the truth is, we’re searching for God.♥️”

Michelle reflected on the fleeting nature of the excitement that comes from nightlife and substance use, calling it counterfeit comfort.

She explained that true joy, peace and clarity had only come when she turned to Jesus Christ, whom she described as the true vine.

“Think about it; the feeling of joy, freedom, peace, connection, confidence, identity, belonging… All of it can only be found in Jesus Christ. Our hearts may deceive us into thinking the high comes from the drink, the music, the friends, the ‘vibes’, but it’s all counterfeit comfort. The real high is waking up each day with clarity and peace that surpasses all understanding. The only One who truly satisfies, is the true vine, Jesus. 🍇 And not temporarily, but for eternity.”

She urged those struggling with addiction or unfulfilling lifestyles to consider walking away from those habits, offering her own journey as proof that change is possible.

“If anyone is thinking of quitting alcohol or any kind of drug, empty lifestyle or habit, here’s your sign. 🫶🏽 Remember how it was just the other day I began my sobriety journey, celebrating 30 days? Here we are now; 2 years and going on forever! 💪🏾🎉 Taste and see that the Lord is good, for I surely have. 💯”

Quoting the Bible verse Ephesians 5:18, which advises believers not to get drunk on wine but to be filled with the Holy Spirit, Michelle emphasised that the joy and fulfilment she once sought through alcohol had now been replaced by spiritual clarity that she intends to pursue forever.

From celebrating her first 30 days of sobriety to now marking two years, Michelle expressed gratitude and faith, saying people should also try getting saved and see the results.

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18)”
