Madollar Mapesa reveals reason he quit law school amid 2027 Kibra MP campaign

Social media personality Madollar Mapesa has opened up about the circumstances that led to his departure from the University of Nairobi law school, addressing long-standing rumours while drumming up support for his 2027 bid for the Kibra parliamentary seat.
In a detailed post on Instagram stories on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, he explained that he left law school during his second year after the cancellation of a sponsorship that had been directly funding his tuition.
The support had been coordinated by officials to ensure he received every financial assistance necessary to continue his education.
“Some people claim I dropped out of law school in my second year because the presidential team realised I was not attending classes regularly and cancelled my sponsorship. The truth is, my school fees were being fully supported, and I received help whenever needed to ensure my education continued. Things started going wrong when a high-ranking spokesperson became involved,” he said.

He claimed that things began to unravel when a high-ranking spokesperson became involved, claiming that interference led to the cancellation of a planned statehouse performance he had prepared years earlier.
Madollar Mapesa described the incident as a turning point in his relationship with music, saying it caused him to feel frustrated and undermined at a young age.
“I had prepared a performance at the statehouse, but it was cancelled, and that experience made me frustrated with music at the time. I felt undermined and sidelined because of political bias, even though I was only 19 years old. When I remain silent, it does not mean I am unaware. Those who tried to hinder me will be the first to acknowledge me when I succeed.”
He further suggested that political bias played a role in the withdrawal of support and highlighted that other beneficiaries at the same time were treated differently, questioning their current status.
Reflecting on his youth, Madollar Mapesa said he was only 19 at the time, emphasising that his challenges arose from external interference rather than a lack of ambition.
He stressed that his previous silence should not be mistaken for ignorance and expressed confidence that those who undermined him would be among the first to acknowledge him when he succeeds.
“I was young and ambitious, and the challenges I faced were not due to lack of dedication but external interference. I have learned from those experiences, and they will now fuel my journey as I position myself for the 2027 Kibra MP seat.”

The revelations come as Madollar Mapesa positions himself for the 2027 Kibra MP seat, seeking to turn past setbacks into a platform for political support.
