King David mourns son Mateo Kariuki in heartbreaking tribute

Forex trader and digital creator David Mwangi, alias King David, is mourning the death of his young son, Mateo Kariuki, just weeks after celebrating the boy’s first birthday.
In an emotional message shared on Instagram on Monday, July 21, 2025, David expressed the unbearable pain he is going through, describing it as a loss no parent should ever have to endure.
He spoke emotionally about his son’s passing and revealed that life will never be the same without his son, whom he described as his sunshine and the light of his life.
He admitted that the loss has left him with an aching heart and an emptiness he cannot comprehend, but vowed to keep his son’s name and memory alive.
“A pain no mother nor father should have to go through. Never in a million years did I think I would be making a post like this. Just one month after your first birthday, I was so excited about the plans we made. Life will not be the same without you. My heart aches for you, baby boy. Mama and Dada will always keep your name alive. Long live you, baby, my sweet Mateo Kariuki, my second born, my sunshine, my soul. Just gone,” he said.

The grieving father reflected on the cruelty of life’s unexpected turns, admitting that he does not fully understand why this tragedy happened.
He, however, acknowledged that it is part of the journey that God has set for him and that he must now gather the strength he never imagined he would need.
King David shared that he will continue to seek solace in dreams of Mateo, praying for moments where he can feel close to his son once again.
“Life does not make any sense right now, but that is okay. I guess this is just a part of the journey God has in store for me. I may not understand now, but I need to be stronger than I ever thought I could be for my son. For you, Mateo. Baba will come to find you in every dream I have. Please come find me. Just hug me one more time,” David wrote.
He ended his heartfelt tribute with a promise to always look for his son in the stars and in nature’s beauty, calling Mateo his angel and asking him to rest in peace.
