Kay Sayyid denies dating Khalif Kairo
Content creator and media personality Kay Said has addressed swirling rumours linking her romantically to car dealer and influencer Khalif Kairo.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, August 11, 2025, she firmly distanced herself from the speculation that she is Kairo’s new girlfriend.

The claims emerged after Kay was spotted several times wearing a jacket similar to one often seen on Kairo. Fans online began connecting the dots and suggesting the two were in a relationship, but neither had previously commented on the matter.
During the interview, the host brought up the topic directly, telling Kay: “Mambo ni mengi, Wacha nikujulishe, pale kwenye mtandao, wanasema you are Khalif Kairo’s new girlfriend. Now, the newest update. We have a video posted on our platforms, and people were like, Khalif is here, we now connect the dots.”
Kay quickly clarified the situation, explaining that Kairo had only been invited to the event by a mutual acquaintance.
“Cash is the one who invited Khalif, MC Jesse is here, and Mesh… why are we not saying there is something there?” she responded, questioning why fans were concluding only about her and Kairo.
The content creator insisted that the matter was being exaggerated and taken out of context, suggesting that simply appearing in the same spaces or wearing a similar jacket did not confirm any romantic involvement.
When pressed on whether the dating rumours were false, Kay responded: “Naomba nijitoe kidogo, hapa siko.”
This statement, loosely translated, means she wanted to remove herself from the conversation entirely, signalling that she does not want to be associated with the ongoing gossip.
The rumours began when fans online noticed her in what appeared to be Kairo’s jacket on multiple occasions. Some interpreted this as a subtle sign of a relationship, sparking conversations across social media.
However, neither Kay nor Kairo has ever publicly confirmed they are dating, and Kay’s latest remarks suggest she has no intention of doing so.
