Khalif Kairo opens up on why he has never settled down

Businessman and content creator Khalif Kairo has opened up about why he has not settled down, saying relationships have never been his main focus.
In a post shared on his X page on Thursday, July 2, 2026, Kairo said he has spent much of his life focused on work, faith and helping other people. He explained that he has previously been in relationships but admitted that he has struggled to give them the attention they needed.
Relationships were not a priority
Kairo said finding a woman has never been at the top of his list of priorities. He revealed that he chose to become celibate some time ago, adding that his mother had hoped he would one day settle down and start a family.
According to him, his mind has often been focused on other goals.
“Getting a woman for me is a non-priority. In fact, I went celibate a long time ago. My mum actually died pleading with me to settle down and start a family, but my mind has always been elsewhere,” he wrote.
Kairo said his main purpose is to serve God by supporting church work and helping people in need.
“My main goal is to actually serve God by financing His kingdom and helping humanity,” he added.
Why past relationships failed
The businessman also admitted that he has lost good relationships because he was unable to balance love and work.He said his busy schedule and constant focus on business often made it difficult for him to be present for the people he was dating.
Kairo described himself as someone who does not handle relationships well because work often comes first.
“I have fumbled so many good girls in my lifetime because I am simply terrible at running relationships,” he said.
He gave an example of how plans with a partner could change when work demands arise unexpectedly.
“We will plan a date on Saturday and a flying request will come, na mimi nitakuacha niende flight. Or I will come to bed at 3am after spending the whole evening on my phone working,” he added.
Focus on faith and work
Kairo’s remarks show that he currently sees his faith, work and service to others as more important than settling down. While many people may view marriage and family as major life goals, he said his path has been different.
His post has sparked reactions online, with some social media users agreeing that relationships require time and effort, while others encouraged him to make room for love when the time is right.
Kairo did not say whether he plans to settle down in the future. However, he made it clear that his current focus remains on building his work, serving God and supporting humanity.
