Radio personality King Kalala has announced her exit from NRG Radio.

In a statement shared via her social media on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Kalala revealed that the decision to leave the station had been a difficult one but was driven by her desire to pursue new opportunities.

“After much thought, I have decided to part ways with NRG Radio. This decision wasn’t easy, but I believe it’s time for me to explore new directions and focus on exciting new ventures ahead,” Kalala expressed.

The bubbly radio presenter expressed deep gratitude to her fans, acknowledging the role they’ve played in her journey. She thanked them for their unwavering support and enthusiasm throughout her time on air, stating that their belief in her work had meant the world to her.

In addition to addressing her fans, Kalala extended her appreciation to her colleagues at NRG Radio, reflecting on the collaborative and growth-filled experience she had working alongside them.

She emphasised how thankful she was for the opportunities to learn and grow within such a talented team.

She hinted that her journey is far from over, teasing her fans with the promise of exciting new ventures. She urged them to stay tuned, hinting at even bigger plans on the horizon.

Natalie exits NRG

Kalala’s departure comes just a week after her colleague Natalie Githinji announced her own exit from NRG Radio after five years.

On Saturday, October 5, Natalie shared on social media that she is seeking new opportunities and reflecting on her time at the station as a period of personal and professional growth.

In her post, she expressed gratitude to her colleagues and fans, emphasizing their role in her success.

“After five wonderful years at NRG Radio, I have decided to pursue new opportunities and embrace fresh challenges. My time as a content creator and presenter on the breakfast and AM Shows has been incredibly rewarding, filled with unforgettable experiences.

“I’m thankful for the talented team I’ve worked with and proud of our accomplishments. While this marks the end of a significant chapter for both me and the station, I’m excited about what lies ahead. Thank you to all the clients and listeners who have supported me on this journey. I look forward to future collaborations as I step into this new phase. Thank you for the memories, NRG. The future is bright!” Natalie shared.
