Juma Jux explains why he married Priscillia after a brief courtship
Veteran Tanzanian singer Juma Mkambala, alias Juma Jux, has opened up about the powerful and almost instantaneous connection that led him to marry Nigerian influencer Priscillia Ojo after just days of courtship.
Juma Jux, who is currently in Kenya, on Friday night, June 20, 2025, during an interview with a local media station, described his reaction upon first seeing Priscillia as just a natural feeling and completely unexplainable.
He emphasised that upon first meeting her, he knew she was the one and did not want to waste time because he had never experienced such a feeling before.
“It is just something natural that I cannot explain; it is the feeling that I cannot explain. Love story
Their love story began at a Rwandan airport when Juma Jux missed his flight and ended up near the business class lounge, right where Priscillia was seated. She laughed at his frustration, and something clicked immediately.
“The first day I saw Priscilla in Rwanda, I missed my flight and could not get a business-class seat because it was completely. I was pissed off, and after passing through the business class section, I saw her laughing at me,” Jux disclosed in a previous interview.
White wedding
The two lovebirds tied the knot in a stunning white wedding ceremony held on Saturday, April 20, 2025.
The lavish celebration took place months after the couple’s traditional wedding ceremony in Tanzania, which was held in February 2025.
The white wedding was a glamorous affair that brought together family, close friends, and big names from the entertainment industry. The event was a trending topic on social media as videos and photos from the special day made their rounds online.
In one clip, Juma Jux makes a grand entrance, while in another, an emotional moment is captured as Priscilla is walked down the aisle by her father.
Priscilla wore a gorgeous long-sleeved gown, detailed with sequins, lace, and intricate embellishments. The dress featured a high neckline, a sheer yoke, and a soft mermaid silhouette that complemented her figure beautifully. Her hair was styled in an elegant updo, paired with simple stud earrings that completed her graceful look.
Juma Jux, on the other hand, looked dashing in a sharp tuxedo. He wore a white jacket with black lapels and buttons, layered over a black vest and a crisp white shirt. He completed the look with a black bow tie, black trousers with a thin white stripe, and polished black shoes.
