Things are getting spicier between socialite Huddah Monroe and Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya as the two continue to trade blows online, with neither of them backing down.

What started as playful romantic banter has now turned into a full-fledged online roast.

In a series of Instastories, Huddah made it clear that she’s got no time for anyone who doesn’t match her energy, and according to her, Salasya is far from king material.

“My blood is only drawn to kings. Never seen a king troll online. I’m perplexed. The problem is I gave the shamba boy attention, thinking he has king mentality. Never again,” Huddah fired off.

She advised the young MP to embrace rejection and move on, noting that she is not losing sleep over the whole drama.

“Rejection is part of life; accept it and move on,” she added.

Salasya-Huddah war

The latest comes hot on the heels of Salasya taking to his official Instagram on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, to reject Huddah’s apology.

He bluntly said he’s done with the back-and-forth and will be focusing on politics and his constituents, encouraging her to keep going with her music and dancing career.

“Somebody tell this woman I have no time for her; sasa aende aimbe wimbo na kudance na wasanii na mimi nipige siasa, that’s where I thrive,” Salasya said.

“It’s time for work now. Mimi ni mwendazimu mwenye napenda controversy, and I care less other than myself and my constituency; the rest ni story za jaba,” he added.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Huddah took to her Instastories and apologised to Salasya following their recent bitter online altercation.

Affirming her love and respect for Salasya, Huddah said she holds no grudge against the humorous lawmaker, adding that she was wrong for putting him on blast.

The remorseful socialite further described Salasya as a great man who is destined for greatness.

“I respect you a lot @peter_salasya and I apologise for putting you on blast; see you at the top,” Huddah said.

“I have nothing against you @peter_salasya. I still have mad respect for you and a lot of love. You are a great man. Take care of yourself; no human is limited.”

After weeks of publicly professing his admiration for the beauty queen, Salasya, on Sunday, September 22, 2024, he officially announced his decision to retreat from pursuing her.

Salasya admitted that keeping up with Huddah’s lavish lifestyle was beyond his means, adding that he is better off sticking with his down-to-earth, reserved ladies.

The disappointed lawmaker apologised to any women he may have hurt during his high-profile pursuit of Huddah.

“Mimi siezani. Afadhali nirudi kwa vienyeji yangu ya kawaida. I officially disassociate myself from this chic. Any comment I made that hurt any of my kienyeji outside here, please forgive. Ilikuwa tu mambo ya social media,” he said.
