Tanzanian Bongo Flava sensation Rajab Abdul Kahali, better known as Harmonize, has touched down in Kenya, joining a massive crowd of eager fans gearing up for Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy’s highly anticipated concert at Uhuru Gardens on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Taking to his Instagram on Friday, February 28, 2025, the celebrated artiste expressed his admiration for the Grammy-winning musician and revealed how he had travelled all the way just to witness him live in action.

Harmonize shared that it had been quite some time since he last connected with Burna Boy, whose international fame has skyrocketed, and attending the concert would be his chance to reunite with him and satisfy his long-standing craving.

“Nairobi, I’m here! The respect and love I have for Burna. Let’s go crazy tomorrow. Just bought my tickets—see you there. I’m ready to watch him kill it and win—it’s been way too long since I’ve seen him doing his thing!” he shared enthusiastically.

The ‘Kwa Ngaru’ hitmaker also added that he would be present to ensure no drama or chaos would ruin the singer’s event, boasting that even Kenyan artistes like Eric Omondi know him well and understand how serious he can get.

“Any artiste trying to cause trouble, just know I’m around—ask Eric Omondi, he knows the name. I’m in town; let’s go!” He stated confidently.

Burna Boy event

The singer’s remarks refer to the highly anticipated Mad Fun’s Burna Boy Live Experience event, which is set to take place tomorrow, March 1, 2025, at Uhuru Gardens.

This event has been the talk of the town ever since Burna Boy confirmed on February 24, 2025, that he would headline the show.

Its buzz has been amplified by the fact that Kenya is one of the few countries he’s set to perform in since the start of the new year, aside from his home country of Nigeria, making it a special occasion for his Kenyan fans.

Pomp arrival

According to videos shared online, Burna Boy also arrived in Kenya today, February 28, 2025, accompanied by his mother, Bose Ogulu, who also serves as his manager.

His arrival was met with a flurry of excitement and flair, with a convoy of luxury cars picking him up from the airport.

Event organisers had arranged for a group of women to greet him with a bouquet of flowers upon his arrival.

The artiste looked overjoyed as he walked alongside his mother before disappearing into one of the Mercedes vans in his convoy.

In a separate video shared by Spm Buzz, Burna Boy took a moment to interact with fans, expressing how happy he was to be in Kenya, before wrapping himself in a Kenyan flag given to him by one of the fans.

Grammy Winner

The Nigerian powerhouse clinched his first-ever Grammy in 2021 when his album Twice As Tall won Best Global Music Album at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony.

Burna Boy triumphed in the category, formerly known as Best World Music Album, marking his first career Grammy win. His album beat out nominees such as Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen.

Afterwards, Burna Boy delivered a fiery performance, closing out the premiere ceremony with two tracks from Twice As Tall—a fitting end to an unforgettable night.
