Fardosa sends warm message to Kenyans as she returns to Kakuma

TikTok star Fardosa has sent a warm message to Kenyans as she prepares to travel to Kakuma following trips to Nairobi and Mombasa.

Speaking during an interview with a local TV station on Friday, September 5, 2025, she shared insights into her experiences in the cities, explaining how they broadened her perspective and influenced her plans for visiting her family and community in Kakuma.

“In Nairobi, life was very good. We also went to Mombasa, and up to here in Nairobi, I have seen so much. I really enjoyed it. I experienced flying in a plane, riding a boat, and even taking a train that was very long, like a snake. I even went into the ocean, and the water was very salty. I am very grateful for the experience,” she said.

Fardosa described Nairobi as offering a very comfortable lifestyle, noting that her time there allowed her to experience aspects of city life she had not encountered before.

She also highlighted her visit to Mombasa, where she experienced various modes of transport, including a plane, a boat, and a long train journey.

Her travels even included entering the ocean, where she was fascinated by the salty water. These experiences, she said, left her feeling grateful and deeply appreciative of the opportunities to explore different parts of the country.

“Even if we go to Kakuma for ten days, I still want to come back here. I am going to check on my children and then return. I cannot spend a whole month in Kakuma; I will come back here,” she added.

Despite enjoying city life, Fardosa emphasised that her trip to Kakuma is focused on attending to her children and checking on family matters.

She indicated that she cannot spend extended periods there due to other commitments, and that her visit will be relatively short, with plans to return to Nairobi afterwards.

Fardosa also highlighted challenges faced by people in Kakuma, including issues with transportation and electricity, and encouraged support from well-wishers to help address these difficulties.

“I would like to ask people to help us because we have challenges in Kakuma. The vehicles run out quickly, and we also have issues with electricity. We need support for these basic needs,” she said.
