Dorea Chege speaks after landing major role in new drama series

Actress Dorea Chege has joined a star-studded cast of a new drama series that is set to premiere soon.

The series dubbed ‘Pink Ladies’ is headlined by Azziad (Cecilia), Shix Kapienga (Trizah), Dorea Chege (Anne), Pascal Tokodi (Charlie) among other thespians.

Pink Ladies revolves around four single women who find themselves navigating the complexities of life, friendship, relationships, career and finances.

Dorea Chege, who is the main character in StarTimes ‘Pink Ladies’ series, expressed her joy for landing the role.

“This is one of its kind to ever exist in the corridor of the film industry in Kenya, I’m more than excited for the views because this will be wholesomely choreographed for them,” Dorea Chege said while speaking to a local news outlet.

“The show revolves around four unmarried women tackling twists and turns of life, friendship, career and finances,” she added.

Playing the lead character in the ‘Pink Ladies’ drama series is the first major role that Dorea Chege has landed ever since curtains came down on ‘Maria’ series where she played Maggie.

Dorea Chege also felt elated having been picked to play the main character ahead of Azziad, Shix Kapienga and Pascal Tokodi who are all heavyweights in the industry.

Dorea Chege’s career

Dorea Chege shot to fame thanks to her role in ‘Maria’ series where she played Maggie.

After ‘Maria’, the actress joined politics in the run-up to the August 9, 2022, General Election. She wanted to contest for the Nairobi Woman Rep seat but dropped out of the race before voting day.

Dorea Chege focussed on vlogging together with her sweetheart DJ Dibul after the unsuccessful short political stint.
