DJ Krowbar pokes fun at corporate women who carry giant Stanley cups

Renowned entertainer and media personality Frederick Karumba, alias DJ Krowbar, has commented on a rising trend among corporate women carrying giant Stanley cups.
In a light-hearted post shared on his X account on Thursday, July 24, 2025, the gospel DJ appeared puzzled by the craze, questioning why so many women in corporate offices who spend most of their day in air-conditioned environments are constantly seen with massive hydration containers.
“Why are corporate women so thirsty? I mean, they work in air-conditioned offices. Too many mega-huge Stanley Cups everywhere. Ama shida ni mimi…?” the entertainer stated.
His post quickly gained traction, sparking reactions from netizens.
Patience Wanjiru: Vikombe za HR. Na chupa ziko na Dimu na Chia seeds
Ngatia M Samuel: Someone was advising someone else who had recently joined the workforce and was told, “When you go to the office on your first day, stay the hell away from any female carrying a gigantic water bottle with lemon slices inside. Those are the problematic ones.”
Gikonyo Ndugu: Hehehe, hehehehe, unachoma, hehehehehe. Wueh… but ni fashion ya sahii… vile avunja imerudi fashion… hehehe. jua kunamtu kwa offisi ako nakiwaru juu yako… hehehe.
Giant water bottles
This comes as a growing number of women, especially in corporate settings, are increasingly being spotted carrying large Stanley cups and oversized water bottles to the office, meetings, and even casual social outings. What was once seen as quirky or over-the-top has now become a widespread habit and, for many, a personal lifestyle choice.
The Stanley Cup, known for its durability and ability to keep beverages cold for hours, has become a status symbol of sorts, especially among young professionals and lifestyle influencers.
Behind the trend is a growing culture of health awareness and convenience. Many working women spend their days navigating tight schedules, long meetings, and screen-heavy environments. For them, carrying enough water in a large tumbler means staying hydrated without constantly needing to refill.
Social media has played a significant role in fuelling the trend. Influencers, lifestyle bloggers, and professionals regularly share photos and reels of their pastel-coloured tumblers, hydration routines, and matching desk setups. These posts have inspired a wave of interest among young working women, who now consider a stylish water bottle an essential part of their work gear alongside a planner or laptop.
