Arrow Bwoy opens up on reason he started crying while performing in Lodwar

Kenyan artiste Arrow Bwoy has revealed that his tears during the performance of his song ‘Uko Nami’ in Lodwar were triggered by painful memories of personal struggles and moments of comfort that the song continues to carry for him.

Shortly afterwards, he also lost his father, and during that season, the song ‘Uko Nami’ became a source of strength and reassurance, constantly reminding him that whatever happens eventually turns out well.
“At that time, I was preparing to release the song ‘Uko Nami,’ and that was when my wife Nadia and I had just started our relationship. She conceived but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage, and that experience was hitting me very hard. After some time, I also lost my father, so when this song ‘Uko Nami’ came into my life, it became my comfort,” he shared.
Arrow Bwoy noted that this song grew to represent healing and comfort in his life, and when he performed it in Lodwar and saw the overwhelming reception from the fans, he became emotionally moved and was unable to hold back his tears.

He further explained that the Lodwar performance became a significant moment for him because he believes it is important for men to allow themselves to cry.
“The song was telling me that everything that happens will eventually be fine. So when I performed it and saw the reception from people, I was moved. For a man, it is good to cry. Cry sometimes, because for me that Lodwar moment was a good moment,” he shared.

He also reflected on how far his journey has come since those painful experiences, pointing out that Nadia has since given birth to their son and that fatherhood has been treating him well.
He described his joy in watching the baby grow healthily, noting that the experience of being a father has brought him immense happiness.
“And so far Nadia has given birth to a boy, and I am so happy, and fatherhood is treating me well. The baby boy is growing so well.”
The performance in Lodwar was captured in a snippet shared by the Digi Digi hitmaker himself, showing him wiping tears from his eyes as fans gave him a standing ovation, a moment that deeply resonated with the audience.
The song ‘Uko Nami,’ which was released barely three years ago, has already garnered more than six million views on YouTube and continues to draw listeners.
