Retired president and Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta has convened a special meeting for Jubilee Party National Delegates in a bid to discuss key strategies for the previous ruling party.

Uhuru, in a notice on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, outlined the special key agendas expected to be discussed during the Jubilee Party National Conference, which will be chaired by him.

On his part, the retired president, in accordance with Kenya’s constitution, has served a twenty-one-day notice to all national delegates as he invited them to the conference, which will be held at the Jockey Club in Nairobi.

“Pursuant to articles 8.1 and 10.1 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, 21 days’ notice is hereby issued for a Special National Delegates Convention to be held at the Jockey Club, Nairobi, Kenya,” Uhuru said.

In addition, the Jubilee Party Leader further revealed some of the key agenda items that are expected to be addressed during the delegates’ upcoming meeting.

Uhuru has revealed that as part of the meeting, three key topics will be discussed, which include a review, formulation, and approval of the previous ruling party’s policies.

Worth noting, the retired Head of State chaired Jubilee’s National Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, further adding that other key topics to be discussed will be a report from the National Executive Committee. He also added that the party will have a keen look at other matters at hand.

“Receive a status report from the National Executive Committee. Review, formulate, and approve party policies. Consider and approve any other matters,” Uhuru said.

NEC meeting

Worth noting, the retired Head of State chaired the first Jubilee Party National Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, after the court ruling and the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) affirmed his leadership.

During the meeting, the party resolved to convene a National Delegates Conference (NDC) in approximately one month. According to the former ruling party, the NDC is expected to finalise party leadership and strategic direction.

Uhuru will spearhead the new direction of the party as it seeks to mainstream its operations. In addition, this was the first NEC meeting held following the conclusion of the court cases involving the party.

Following a press statement released by the party, the session deliberated on key issues affecting it, which, according to the leadership, included a comprehensive review of party affairs.

In addition, the Jubilee Party has also revealed strategic plans for reinvigorating the party’s structures and operations across the country.
