In the first incident, 38-year-old Muema Kitema, who was a primary school teacher is reported to have committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope on a cypress tree.

According to Musalala Assistant Chief, Cecilia Waithera, the teacher did not leave behind a suicide note.

In her report, Waithera said that the Muthethe Primary School teacher may have had domestic issues that pushed to commit suicide.
