The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced it is seeking to recruit over 200 positions in a bid to enhance institutional capacity and deliver on its mandate.

Following a gazette notice released by MyGov on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Authority stated that it is seeking to recruit at least 212 interested candidates to further improve its delivery.

“To enhance institutional capacity and deliver on its mandate, the SHA Board seeks to recruit visionary, result-driven, and experienced professionals for the following,” SHA announced.

In addition, the authority has announced a re-advertisement of three senior managerial positions, which include Assistant Director, Claims Management; Assistant Director, Corporate Communication; and Principal Claims Management Officer.

“Assistant Director, Claims Management, Assistant Director, Corporate Communication, Principal Claims Management Officer,” SHA noted.

The authority has further directed interested applicants to access the full advertisement, including detailed job descriptions, core functions, and person specifications, at SHA’s official website.

SHA mandate

Worth noting, the Social Health Authority (SHA) is a state corporation established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, and mandated to provide financial risk protection for Kenyan residents by facilitating equitable access to quality healthcare.

It is responsible for administering the Social Health Insurance Fund, Primary Healthcare Fund, and Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness Fund in collaboration with stakeholders.

The authority has further announced that all interested applicants must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

The copies include a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

In addition, all qualified and interested candidates must have at least a Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

All qualified and interested applicants are directed to submit their applications online or physically to the SHA building before 5.00 pm on November 18, 2025.

“Applications can be submitted online at https://recruitment.sha.go.ke/ or physically delivered to SHA building 10th floor by clearly marking the position applied for on the envelope. All applications must be received by 5.00pm on 18th November, 20.
