Kenya’s top leaders, President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga have arrived at the Bomas of Kenya for the unveiling of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

Many other leaders, among them governors Alfred Mutua, Anne Waiguru, Francis Kimemia, Charity Ngilu and Cabinet Secretaries, trooped to Bomas early Monday morning for the BBI report launch.

President Kenyatta and his ally Raila are set to preside over the official launch of the report which recommends, among other things, for inclusivity at the top of government.

However, President Kenyatta’s deputy has already voiced his opinion on the document, warning that efforts to change the law will fail if the end goal is to create new positions.

Over 6,000 delegates are expected to grace the BBI ceremony at the Bomas of Kenya with the main auditorium set to hold 1,000 delegates. Other invited guests will sit in tents erected outside.
