Pauline Njoroge, the Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary, has thrown a curveball at President William Ruto over his remarks about heaven.

Through her verified Facebook account on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Njoroge mocked the President after he claimed that the people of Ukambani would be the first to enter heaven.

She said, “St. Peter has gotten a spokesperson for Pearly Gates affairs. I wonder what the Vatican has to say about this new development. Never a dull day in Kenya.”

Ruto’s promise to Ukambani

President Ruto made the remarks earlier in Kitui County, where he praised the region.

The President said that the people of Ukambani have been ignored for years, but assured them of full inclusion in future plans.

He said, “Sikizeni nyinyi watu wa Ukambani… the people of Ukambani are the best people… Kama kuna watu watatangulia mbinguni ni watu wa Ukambani.”

He told residents that the region will no longer operate from the sidelines and will instead be part of forming the next government.

He said that his administration will ensure Ukambani is involved in future development and political decisions.

The comments sparked mixed reactions across the country, with many Kenyans turning to social media to joke, debate and criticise the President’s spiritual message.

Njoroge’s sharp rebuttal

Njoroge picked up the viral moment and offered her own interpretation in a tone that many Kenyans found humorous.

Pauline Njoroge’s rebuttal to President William Ruto, however, comes amid the backdrop of concens from Kenyans that the son of Kamagut is doing more harm than good in his endles domestic travels.

All the same, Ruto, while speaking in Kitui, insisted that Ukambani will be central in his 2027 plans and said the region has suffered neglect for too long.

He added that with God’s guidance, Ukambani will remain on the right side of government.
